Thursday, 31 January 2013

The 2013 Irish Open is less than two months away and players looking to take part in Europe's oldest tournament can do so at a discounted price courtesy of paddypowerpoker.com.

The event sponsor is offering players who register online a discount of €50. Register via the Paddy Power Poker Holding Tank in the poker client and you'll pay €2,200 as opposed to the full buy in of €2,250.

"We wanted to give a little back to our poker players ahead of the best tournament in Europe so they've already started earning money - EUR50 is 20 percent of the registration fee - the moment they buy in online," said Paddy Power, spokesman for the site.

"We've also made every buy in available for Paddy Points so players who wish to participate in the unique atmosphere of the Irish Open can do so simply by racking up some points on the site. We look forward to seeing you there!"

The 10 events Irish Open festival takes place at Burlington Hotel, Dublin, Ireland from March 29 to April 1 with buy-ins ranging from €170 to €2,250.

A selection of online qualifiers for the Irish Open Main Event are up and running at paddypowerpoker.com with direct satellites running every Sunday, Monday and Thursday.

All paddypowerpoker.com qualifiers will be eligible to take part in the Sole Survivor last longest contest which will see the last qualifier standing walking away with €50,000 in cash, a World Series of Poker 2013 main event buy in and Irish Open 2014 buy in.
