Leading online poker site, InterPoker (www.InterPoker.com), has sealed a deal to display 147, 30-second advertisements for InterPoker’s new play for fun site, InterPoker.tv at this Sunday’s Super Bowl and other prominent sporting events throughout the year. Eye Candy, the company that places and manages giant screen media at major sport and cultural events worldwide, has signed similar deals for Super Bowl airtime with major corporations such as Coke and Citibank. “This deal is an indication of the popularity of poker in America,” said Michael Caselli, editor of America’s largest poker publication “Bluff”. Besides the Super Bowl coverage, InterPoker.com has taped into the homes of America with the television program ‘Caribbean Poker Classic’ (CPC) which aired last night on Rogers Sports. The CPC chronicled the trials and successes of InterPoker.com online poker players, as they battled for their share of almost $1 million in a high pressure, high stakes poker tournament set in the idelic island paradise of St Maarten.
