Thwart Poker Inc has announced the launch of its new skill-based poker game. After two years in development Thwart Poker boasts new patented technology which the company hopes will ‘redefine the game of poker’. The game works by allowing players to pick the hand they want, thereby eliminating the element of chance that defines illegal gambling in the U.S.
'With poker-mania sweeping the nation, it's an auspicious time for the roll-out of ThwartPoker,” explains Daniel Pfeiffer, co-founder and CTO, ThwartPoker Inc. “It's poker reborn, and I believe the market is primed for the first-ever twist we offer. Our secret is to tap into human nature. People love to outwit others, to anticipate what they'll do and then one-up them, block or thwart them, beat them. Our patented technology dynamically adds this element to regular poker thereby making it something completely new, and at the same time, something completely familiar.'
The company's two initial ThwartPoker website games are Hold'em Blitz(TM) and 6 Card Battle(TM). Selected website play is free and multiplayer online tournaments for prizes are promised later this month.
