Improvements made to $500k Punta Cana Classic

Tuesday, 18 October 2011

Last year's Punta Cana Classic in the Dominican Republic proved a big hit and organisers, with an ear to player feedback, have made a couple of tweaks that should make the 2011 event even better.

The most notable of the changes is a new professional dealing staff, direct from Las Vegas complete with experience from the biggest tournament of all, the World Series of Poker. Organisers have also confirmed that cash tables will run around the clock throughout the six-day festival.

"We acted upon the feedback from all of last year's participants," said Punta Cana Poker Classic Tournament Director. "We want to get better every year so we made sure to institute the changes that the player's wanted. These changes will ensure smoother gameplay and allow our players to play cash games night and day."

The five star Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is the venue for the $500,000 Guaranteed Punta Cana Classic from 8th to 13th November 2011. $3,500 packages that includes the $1,500 + $150 buy-in to the main event as well as 5 nights' accommodation with all inclusive premium food and beverage, $500 towards airfare and $1,500 hotel credit for spa golf and tours are available from www.puntacanapokerclassic.com.
