All reports seem to indicate that the high-stakes cash games played in Bobby’s Room during this year’s WSOP have been completely out of control, spilling out on to the main poker room and generating more seven-figure pots than you can shake a stick at.

"The poker games are out of control at the Bellagio. I’ve never seen games where so much money is won and lost each night," says Doyle Brunson. And this is a man with over fifty years of experience in these games.

A statement on Ilari’s website, coinflip.com, says that “Ilari Sahamies has won a $1.7 million pot, but on Monday he lost possibly the biggest pot ever in a cash game at a casino, $2.4 million! (Hopefully we will later hear more about these pots from Ilari.)”

In addition it is reported that the Chinese Poker games have been rocketing clean through the roof, being played for over $10,000 a point. Apparently the peak was $20,000 a point, during which game Doyle Brunson suffered a $2.1m loss in less than one hour.

"The main players in the big game are from Finland. Great action guys, fun to play with. I'm sure you can figure out who they are," Doyle said in a Twitter update. Besides Antonius and Ziigmund, other players regularly at the felt include Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan and David Benyamine.

The biggest game running is $2,000/$4,000 PLO but the $4k/$8k mixed game and others are still going strong.
