New Jersey's Michael J. Nargi defeated, Florida's James M. English for the title at Event six of Borgata's 2005 Poker Open. After surviving a field of 323 top players in the $2,500 buy-in event, including some of the biggest names in poker, such as David 'the Dragon' Pham, Nargi elevated his game and scored a big victory.
Nargi collected $250,325 and a gold diamond-encrusted Borgata bracelet for winning this grueling 30-hour marathon. English, collected $137,275, and third-place finisher Jason M. Langianse took in almost $70,000 as payouts sky-rocketed for this high buy-in event Fourth-place finisher, Sal J. Giambrone of Staten Island, NY, collected $56,525 for his efforts.
