Hold'em Manager / PokerTracker Merge

Hold'em Manager / PokerTracker Merge

Thursday, 21 August 2014

Poker's two largest tracking software companies, Hold'em Manager (HEM) and PokerTracker have merged.

The deal will see the management teams, staff, resources and intellectual property of both companies merged into one.

Despite being a unified company, both products will remain on the market as separate entities. Visible changes for existing users are set to be minimal with the company continuing to 'maintain, develop and support' both PokerTracker and Hold’em Manager.

“The vast majority of the changes will be behind the scenes where we will be working to improve efficiencies and to explore opportunities to share code and technologies where appropriate,” according to a statement released on Thursday.

Plans to develop and release Poker Tracker 5 and HEM 3 remain in place but no dates have as yet been confirmed. Prices will also remain the same for the foreseeable future.

The company also confirmed that extra resources will now be devoted to cloud versions of both products and will be available 'soon'.
