Value hunters looking for some top class tournament action this weekend should head to the Hippodrome Casino in London which is hosting its first Classic of 2014.
There's £25,000 guaranteed at the Leicester Square venue, all for the very reasonable buy-in of £250+£25. The first of two opening flights starts at 2pm on Friday 24th January with a second following at the same time on Saturday. The field will be combined from 2pm on Sunday with the eventual winner crowned later that day. Players will start with 25,000 chips with the clock set at 30-minutes.The last time the Hippodrome has run Classic events the guarantee has been smashed and organisers expect the same to happen this time round.There are two seats guaranteed in a live satellite at the Hippodrome starting at 7.30pm tonight. The buy-in is £35+£5 with a single rebuy allowed. For that, players will receive a 5,000 chip starting stack with a 20-minute clock.
