Henryk Nowakowski dominates GUKPT Day 1B

Saturday, 27 March 2010

With the EPT Snowfest taking place in the Alpine mountains you'd think that every Austrian poker player would be there. That's not the case though as one of them is in London and doing rather well in the GUKPT Main Event.

Henryk Nowakoski ended Day 1B with a massive stack of over 137,000, closely followed by Daniel Tafur on 131,800 with Neil Channing on 99,400 and Laurence Houghton on 98,500. Among the 58 survivors from the 173 players who started Day 1B are England team captain in the forthcoming World Team Poker Ben Roberts, Marbella Kid Paul Zimbler and EPT Deauville winner Jake Cody

98 players will sit down when play resumes at 2pm today with the top 31 players making the money. Those reaching the final table will earn at least £9,100 with the winner taking home a very tidy £127,800.
