Hellmuth set for a “GaGa” WSOPE entrance

Thursday, 23 September 2010

Shy and retiring - two words that could never be used to describe Phil Hellmuth. The Poker Brat will be living up to his larger than life reputation by making another grand entrance at the WSOPE Main Event in Leicester Square at 4pm today.

The precise details of his entrance remain a closely guarded secret but sources at UB.com have hinted that it will be music inspired. A spokesman for UB said, “The man of the moment will provide the focus of a curious mix of some fine British brass band ‘pomp and circumstance’ and modern-day rock star glam, so it will be no surprise if the crowds go a little “GaGa” for the entertaining spectacle in the Square”.

The 11-time WSOP bracelet winner has a habit of making extravagant arrivals at WSOP events. He arrived at this year's Vegas main event dressed as a Mixed Martial Artist alongside the pornographic sounding MMA commentator Bruce Buffer. Last year's London entrance was equally spectacular, featuring horse drawn chariots and a bevvy of models, as Hellmuth lived out a Julius Caesar fantasy.

Love him or loathe him the big man certainly knows how to get tongues wagging. So what has he got in store this time? There's only one way to find out. That's by heading down to the Empire in Leicester Square at 4pm.
