Hellmuth set for Celebrity Apprentice?

Thursday, 4 October 2012

He's already one of the highest profiles figures in the world of poker and now he could be set to hit the mainstream. We are of course talking about none other than Phil Hellmuth who could be about to appear in the new series of Celebrity Apprentice.

The Poker Brat confirmed the news in an interview with PokerNews yesterday, telling Sarah Grant that he was “in discussions with Celebrity Apprentice right now.”

Hellmuth wouldn't be the first poker player to appear on the show. Annie Duke finished runner up behind Joan Rivers in the 2009 series. The catty comedienne was less than complimentary about poker players, describing them as “beyond white trash” and “scum”. Rivers also charmingly compared Duke to Hitler.

Hopefully Phil won't let the side down should he appear on the show.
