Hellmuth Shines in Bronze

Love him or hate him Phil Hellmuth has done a lot to score his image onto the retinas of anyone who’s ever laid eyes on him. Indeed, with endless proclamations about “being the greatest” it’s hard to forget him.

While his ego-driven antics might sometimes alienate him to some members of the poker community, there’s no denying that Phil has proved himself time and time again at the felt. His style might not set the world alight and many often disagree with his strategy, however, you can’t take away his record number of bracelets.

The undisputed king of poker bling, Phil is now able to shine as much as his gold and silver accolades thanks to Jon Hair. Having worked on the project for some time, Hair has now unveiled his latest fine art creation: a bronze bust of Phil Hellmuth.

Appearing on his site, Hair’s creation lists the piece as a portrait bust of Phil, who “is an American professional poker player. He holds a world record of 11 World Series of Poker bracelets, for winning the Main Event of the 1989 World Series of Poker. He is also a member of the Poker Hall of Fame.”

To some the piece will appeal, to others who’ve had to endure his tirades of the years it will repel. Whatever you’re opinion though there’s no denying that a perfectly preserved Phil will now be around for a lot longer than anyone could have predicted.
