American cable television network GSN has announced that Phil Hellmuth will return after a two-year break to take part in the first instalment of its High Stakes Poker IV series.
The high-stakes poker program begins next week and is also set to feature Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Laak, Todd Brunson and Mike ‘The Mouth’ Matusow along with newcomers Brian Brandon, Antonio Salorio and Haralabos Voulgaris.
The series will feature 17 episodes of eight-player $100,000 buy-in poker games with the entry being increased for the November 5 episode to $500,000. The buy-in is to be paid by the players themselves with over five million dollars on the table throughout the season.
Other players scheduled to take part in episodes during this season include Patrik Antonius, David Benyamine, Doyle Brunson, Eli Elezra, Sam Farha, Jamie Gold, Barry Greenstein, Jennifer Harman and Daniel Negreanu.
There will also be newcomers with Brandon Adams, Mike Baxtar, Phil Galfond, Guy Laliberte and Bob Safai expected to compete.
