Gus Hansen was the first player to feel the wrath of Full Tilt Poker's nosebleed games over the weekend after dropping a staggering $1,542,128.
Despite playing over 6,000 hands the Dane couldn’t prevent a trickle turning into a flood after battling across the site’s $200/$400 PLO and $2,000/$4,000 FLO8 tables. Gus’s 27 hour session didn’t stat badly, indeed, after a $200,000 profit at the $1,500/$3,000 2-7 Triple Draw tables it look as though he would close the day on top. However, a change of scenery did the Dane more harm than good as he went on an extended losing streak that put him amongst the year’s biggest losers. One of the biggest beneficiaries of Gus’s run was “KPR16”. Despite losing $200,000 to Gus a few days earlier, the online grinder managed to bank $649,300 thanks to a dominant performance at the FLO8 tables. Also enjoying the cash leak was “cottonseed1”. The unknown player scored a $413,000 profit, with the bulk of it coming from Gus at the FLO8 tables. While the bankroll hit would crush many players it’s unlikely to prevent Gus from returning to the virtual felt to avenge his losses. Indeed, if past form is anything to go by then we could see a big win from him in the near future. Join Gus at the online tables at Full Tilt Poker with a 100% first deposit bonus of up to $600.
