There have been some novel excuses for arriving late at this year's World Series of Poker.
A stolen passport combined with lax French bureaucracy did for ElkY while Antonio Esfandiari succumbed to a nasty illness.The gold award for the fashionably tardy arrival of 2014 goes to Gus Hansen though. The Dane has been in Las Vegas for a fortnight but has yet to take to the tables at the Rio. And the reason for his most recent non-appearance? Believe it or not, a pool party.Gus first took to Twitter to advise fans of his World Series plans.
