Gus Hansen leaves Macau after “most expensive flight” ever

Friday, 17 February 2012

Gus Hansen, who has regularly been blogging his progress at the Macau big game, reported that he has left the country following a final 29-hour session. This comes after he missed his original flight back to Europe.

“It was the most expensive flight I have ever missed and in hindsight maybe the most expensive anyone has missed,” Hansen wrote. When originally in Macau, he reportedly won over $3.8m USD in the games before going to the Aussie Millions.

However, he described his last session as starting badly “then suddenly [turning] into what looked like a lucrative session, only to end as a losing horse trying to make it to the finish line.”

Gus writes that he will be in Denmark for the future and may be playing the EPT Copenhagen which starts next week.
