Gus Hansen and Daniel Cates crush online games

It won’t surprise anyone who has been following the nosebleed action in the past six months to learn that the biggest winners in the mid-week sessions on Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars were Gus Hansen and Daniel “jungleman12” Cates respectively.

Cates, playing on PokerStars as “w00ki3z”, attacked the $100/$200 and $50/$100 PLO tables with relish and wound up making over $330,000 on the session. Meanwhile, Gus Hansen continued his rampage in the nosebleed games at Full Tilt Poker and cleaned up at PLO and Draw, taking home $825,000 from the likes of Phil Galfond.

The high stakes Draw games have been the main attraction on Full Tilt recently while the NL and PLO games seem to be taking place more and more at PokerStars. This is likely because of the mixed game pros on Full Tilt still playing with their shiny new Draw toy and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom generating big bet action at PokerStars.
