Monday, 6 February 2012

The big cash game in Macau is going again with Gus Hansen and Sam Trickett getting involved with John Juanda, Andrew Robl and the Asian businessmen. According to Gus Hansen’s blog, he lost a US$1.8m million pot.

With blinds at HK$10,000/HK$20,000 (US$1,300/US$2,600) one player straddled and Hansen double-straddled to HK$80,000. Holding 9d-7d, he got all his chips in on a 9x-6d-2d flop only to be in the worst shape possible versus a set and the nut flush draw.

Sam Trickett also Tweeted that he had “lost the biggest pot of [my] life” but the next day seemed to be doing well in the games.
