He might already be one of the most recognisable faces in poker, but Gus Hansen is now looking to cement that image by launching his ThePlayr.com website.
Reminiscent of Daniel Negreanu’s Full Contact Poker, ThePlayr.com offers a mix of news, strategy, competitions and an Ask Gus section. Also on there is ‘Gus Hansen’s Poker Academy’, where he will ‘teach poker the way it should be played – aggressively.’ Many of the sites features have been put together with the assistance of Hansen’s sponsoring poker site, Full Tilt. Hansen will remain with Full Tilt, and the new site was launched on Friday at a conference at the Aussie Millions.
We’re liking the site already after it gives insight into just how bad Mike Matusow is at prop bets involving Gus and a tennis racquet. Ever looking for a quick way to drop $20,000? Mike might be your man…
