Grosvenor Grand Prix Set For Sixth Leg

Grosvenor Grand Prix Set For Sixth Leg

Thursday, 21 August 2008

The Brits do love the Grosvenor Grand Prix, which means the announcement of the sixth leg will be news to poker-playing ears. The next stop will be in Walsall, with the poker sharks coming to town on 30th October.

The main event is quite unique from the rest as it is a Pot Limit Hold’em event, which suits the pro players who believe Pot Limit is the more skilful hold’em variant. Players are only able to enter by winning their seat online at Blue Square or at a Grosvenor Casino live satellite. Those who want to take the second option can find a full schedule of £50 rebuy qualifiers starting in September on the Grosvenor Grand Prix website.

For those who don’t make the main event, the festival also boasts a good selection of side events, and the Blue Square are adding £25,000 to the prize pool, as well as a seat in the GUKPT Grand Final. Winners of the side events can earn points on the GUKPT rankings and a seat in the Champion of Champion event towards the end of the year.
