Greece added to eighth season of European Poker Tour

Friday, 2 September 2011

PokerStars have confirmed that an additional stop will be added to the eighth season of the PokerStars European Poker Tour with a series in Greece from November 15 to 20 at Club Hotel Casino Loutraki.

The five-star resort will see not only the huge variety of side events that we come to expect at EPT stops but also a five-day €4,400 Main Event that marks the first EPT tournament held in Greece. They are no strangers to big PokerStars events, though – this stop was pencilled in after two Greek Poker Cup events, under PokerStars sponsorship, went down swimmingly earlier in the year.

“We are very happy to extend our strategic partnership with PokerStars.net, after two very successful Greek Poker Cup tournaments. The EPT’s debut in Greece is a very exciting development for Loutraki as a top tourist destination, for our casino, and for Greek poker in general," said Club Hotel Casino Loutraki general manager Alexandros Doukas.

It’s all Greek to us. There, we’ve made the obvious joke. You can go home now.
