Golden Holden wins the latest leg of the British Masters Of Poker

Tuesday, 22 September 2009

Despite all the action in London over the weekend a very respectable field of 73 players turned out for the main event of the latest leg of the British Masters Of Poker Tour in Liverpool. Steve Holden won the £500 buy in event beating a final table that included Ray Bone (who also reached the final table in Friday’s side event), Brian Littlewood and Rob Baker.

As the action moved to three-handed play a deal was struck with Holden, holding a decent chip lead at the time, taking £9,000 and nearest rivals Frank Kenny and Mark James each taking £8,000. Holden also took the seat in the eight-handed play off in which a Coral sponsorship package worth £10,000 will be won.
