Alan Fox heads Genting Poker Series Day 1A

The Genting Poker Series got off to a fine start in yesterday with a total of 118 players buying into the first of two opening day flights at Star City in Birmingham.

By the close of play just 32 players were left with Alan Fox in pole position after amassing a huge stack of 449,800. His closest rival is Barry Wise on 239,700 with seven other players making it into six figure stack territory.


Hendon Mobsters Barny Boatman and Joe Beevers safely navigated their way through the opening day, as did Betfred Ladies Tour winner Helena Brett and live legend Mickey Wernick.


An even bigger field is expected for the second opening flight which starts at 1pm today.
