Saturday, 4 February 2012

A total of 126 players will be heading back to Birmingham for Day 2 of the Genting Poker Series at Star City later today. Plenty of big names were on hand for yesterday's second opening flight with the likes of Adam 'Snoopy' Goulding, Ben Jackson and Karl Mahrenholz surviving the day.

At the close of play it was Martin Donoghue who had bagged up the most chips with 158,000, followed by Richard Milner on 156,400 and Kevin Morissey on 145,700. They're all miles behind day 1A chip leader Alan Fox who will return with an astonishing 449,800.

365 players bought in over the two opening flights (including re-entries) meaning that the £100k guarantee has been exceeded comfortably. The total prize pool stands at £146,000 with the winner walking away with £31,980 plus a seat in the Genting Grand Final worth £1,600.

The action resumes at 1pm today with ten levels of play scheduled. Follow play via the live stream.
