The Sheffield leg of the Genting Poker Series is well under way with two of the three Day 1s already in the book.
A total of 233 players took to the tables on Wednesday and Thursday with 63 players already securing their seat for day 2 on Saturday. Amongst that number will be plenty of notable names including Barny Boatman 181200, Paul Jackson 149300, Julian Thew 67600, Dan Hardy 65000, Joe Beevers 46200, Ross Boatman 42000, Fraser Bellamy 30100 and Karl Mahrenholz 27700. The man to beat is James Clark though who bagged up an enormous 446,800 on Day 1a. The third and final opening flights takes place today with a big field expected.
