Members of the Gambling Network Forum took the bragging rights at the APAT Team Championship that took place at the G Casino in Luton over the weekend.

A total of 184 players in 23 teams were involved in the contest with points awarded to the top fifty finishers. As with previous APAT events the prize pool was split fifty fifty with half going to the top three teams and the other half going to the best finishers in the individual tournament.

Players from the Gambling Network saw off strong challenges from The Hendon Mob and Blackbelt Poker to take home the first prize of £2,300. A Blackbelt Poker player took the individual honours though with Nick Mazur beating APAT forum member heads up to take the £1,300 first prize.

The individual results were as follows:

1 Nick Mazur £1300
2 Ian Thompson £700
3 Karl McDonald £450
4 John Murray £350
5 George Lawson £250
6 Gary Peniket £200
7 Rob Swindells £170
8 Peter Lawton £150
9 Phil Laws £130

The next event on the APAT calendar is the American Amateur Poker Championship in Las Vegas from 19th November with the £250 Masters Pro Am scheduled for an as yet unnamed London venue from 10 December.
