Galen Hall heads EPT Madrid High Roller

Saturday, 7 May 2011

Galen Hall is the man to beat heading into the final table of the €25k EPT High Roller event in Madrid today. The American starts the day with 798,000 chips, just ahead of Benny Spindler and Juha Helppi who return with 710,00 and 707,000 respectively.

There's quite a gap to David Sands who has 207,000 with ElkY on 165,000, Vanessa Rousso on 146,000 and Alex Repik on 141,000. Canada's Peter Jetten rounds out the field as the short stack and will start the final day with just 63,000 chips, around five big blinds.

Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom will have to wait for his first live title after busting out midway through yesterday's play. Joining the young Swede on the rail was online nemesis Tom Dwan who was crippled after a couple of untimely bluffs.

All of the eight finalists are guaranteed at least €45,000 with the winner set to walk away with €525,000.
