After the madness that was London during the WSOP Europe and European Poker Tour, the GUKPT has offered a retreat as the next stop of their tour hits Thanet in Kent.
The main event of the BlueSqPoker.com sponsored tour is a £1,000 buy-in tournament and will take place at the G Casino. As always, there is a strong line up of supporting tournaments too, with buy-ins ranging from £100 to £300. Early predictions on the number of entrants for the main event seems to be around 200, which would mean another payout of over £60,000 for the winner. We can expect Nik Persaud to be keen to extend his lead at the top of the leaderboard, while the men currently in second and third - Marc Goodwin and Julian Thew - will want to close the gap. GUKPT Bolton champion Tony Cascarino will be hoping to make it back to back victories on the tour as well, meaning we can all get some more terrible jokes about him scoring away from home going.
