GUKPT Grand Final Coming

GUKPT Grand Final Coming

Thursday, 22 October 2015

The London stop of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) gets underway next month with attention already turning to its £2,125 ($3,282) buy-in Grand Final main event.

Always the jewel in the GUKPT’s proverbial crown and frequented by some of the top grinders in the land, this year’s eight-day London tournament is promising to be one for the ages with organisers offering a main event package that is sure to temp even the most demanding players.

Running from November 22 to 29 inside the Grosvenor Victoria Casino, the GUKPT London stop will also feature a selection of turbo, six-max and Omaha events.

The GUKPT Grand Final main event is to feature a prize pool guarantee worth at least £400,000 ($617,850) to ensure that the winner walks away with a healthy cash prize. Charlie Carrel made his first major mark on the live tournament scene by winning this game last year and banked £108,625 ($167,471) for his efforts. Overcoming 211 opponents including the likes of Priyan De Mel, William Kassouf, Ben Vinson and Paul Nunes, the young Englishman’s £108,625 win was truly deserved and could well temp even more runners to have a go this time out.
