Players looking to turn a small outlay into big bucks (and let's face it, that's pretty much all of us) should be heading to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry this week for the massive GUKPT Goliath.
A huge field of around 2,000 players is expected for the £100+£20 event with the first of three opening day flights getting under way at noon today. Days 1B and 1C follow at the same time on Thursday with survivors resuming battle on Saturday. The winner is set to be crowned on Monday. Players will get plenty of bang for their buck with stacks starting at 25,000 chips with a 40-minute clock. The sixth annual edition of Grosvenor Casinos’ Goliath tournament series may have begun last week but players are being advised that there is still time to qualify for seats into its prestigious £120 buy-in main event.
