A host of top UK pros will be enjoying a day at the seaside today as the GUKPT Main Event in Blackpool gets under way.
The first of two opening day 1 flights for the £1000+£70 showpiece starts at noon today with a second opening day flight starting at the same time tomorrow. The day 2 action will recommence on Saturday at 2pm with the winner decided on Sunday evening. Other events scheduled between now and Sunday's close include a £220 NL six-max at 7.30pm tonight, a £110 NL freezeout at 7.30pm tomorrow, a two-day, £275 NL re-entry event starting at 6pm on Saturday and a £110 NL bounty booster at 5pm on Sunday.David Johnson was the winner of last year's GUKPT Blackpool, outlasting a field of 246 runners to take home a first prize of £67,750.
