The global poker community is again pledging its financial support in order to help out one of its own.
Kevin 'phwap' Boudreau suffered an unexpected brain haemorrhage last week during a dinner break at the WSOP and is now the subject of a fundraising effort by the poker community.Since the news broke that Boudreau was critically ill in hospital, members of the community including the likes of Tom 'durrrr' Dwan have been tweeting their condolences to his family. Some of the industry's leading figures have also been doing their best to help raise money for the poker player's recovery.The Kevin ‘phwap’ Boudreau - Recovery Fundraiser has a target of $50,000 to help pay the $40,000 in transportation costs racked up as Boudreau went from one hospital to another along with $10,000 for other care costs.At present the fund is sitting just short of $15,000 thanks to donations from the likes of Two Plus Two, Peter Jetten and David Benefield.For more information or to donate, click here.
