Launched in 2003 by poker pro Daniel Negreanu, FullContactPoker disappeared from the online sphere recently. However, the site is now back on the internet, powered by new software in the wake of the collapse of its old network.
Produced by Dobrasoft, the new software has been running in a beta test mode for some two weeks. FullConatctPoker expects to have a finalised version on the site two weeks from now but in the meantime, players can continue to play real-money games as usual.
Like many poker sites with US-facing arms, FullContactPoker suffered at the hands of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act. As part of the Ongame network, the site was forced to put a stop to US business when Ongame withdrew its services as the legislation was signed into US law by President Bush.
The site has told players who used the site before the shutdown that they will still be able to receive any deposit bonuses that were pending.
