The two largest events in Full Tilt Poker’s flagship tournament series were played out last night with a $2,500 buy-in deepstacked event hosted by Phil Ivey and the $500 Main Event. The former saw just under 900 players make up a prize pool of approximately $2.25m, nearly a full $1m more than the $1.5m guarantee. Although Phil Ivey himself finished outside the money, his namesake ‘philivey567’ clinched 4th. However the first place honours went to ‘Halfrek’ who won $516k. Full Tilt Pro player Erich Kollmann finished 12th. The massive Main Event saw over 4,000 players create a prize pool of more than $2m. Still running with 22 players as we report, ‘R3dL0bster’ currently holds a considerable chip lead and looks favourite to take down the $400k+ first place prize.
