Full Tilt pros top Aussie Millions Main Event chip counts

Monday, 24 January 2011

The Main Event of the Aussie Millions has always been kind to Team Full Tilt, ever since Patrik Antonius joined eventual winner Gus Hansen at the final table back in 2007. This time around things look to be no different with Erick Lindgren topping the chip counts after Day 1a of the $10,000 tournament.

Lindgren turned his starting stack into a staggering 186,000 by the time the end of the 300/600 level heralded the end of Day 1a. Of the 238 players that competed in the opening flight, just 83 will return tomorrow for Day 2. Among them are Howard Lederer, James Akenhead, Barny Boatman and Roberto Romanello.

The two biggest names, however, are also behind some of the biggest stacks. In third place behind Lindgren and Luke Brabin is Patrik Antonius and his 176,500 stack while none other than Phil Ivey himself has snuck into the top ten counts with 134,200 to his name.
