Online players at www.FullTiltPoker.com collected $161,632 in winnings from the live tournaments at the World Series of Poker. These winnings, which were based on the play of Full Tilt Poker’s representatives during the six-week event, were awarded in addition to the money they won online.
During the weeks before the World Series of Poker Main Event, online players at www.FullTiltPoker.com had the chance to compete in a series of weekly “Piece of the Pros”™ tournaments where the online poker site gave away 18% of the winnings of each Team Full Tilt player participating in the Main Event. These monies were paid out in addition to whatever the player won in the online tournament. Overall, the “Piece of the Pros”™ winners collected a total of $123,650 by the close of the Main Event thanks in strong part to the play of professionals like Mike Matusow, Phil Ivey, and John Juanda.
In addition to “Piece of the Pros”™, online players at www.FullTiltPoker.com had the opportunity to compete in nightly tournaments called “The GreatFull Red Series”™. The winner of each tournament collected 1% of whatever all of the 27 Full Tilt Poker representatives won in the following day’s WSOP preliminary tournament. In total, this promotion paid Full Tilt Poker’s online winners $37,982 in addition to the money they won online.
Throughout the WSOP’s 34 open preliminary events, the online poker site’s 27 representatives won four tournament bracelets and earned a total of $4,223,616 or 8.6% of the total $48,871,048 prize pool. In the Main Event, Full Tilt Poker’s players collected a total of $1,686,945 of the $52,818,610 prize pool.
