Full Tilt Million Dollar Cash Game begins on Sky Sports

Tuesday, 18 January 2011

The annual Full Tilt Poker Million Dollar Cash Game has begun its fifth season with players such as Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius and Tom “durrrr” Dwan highlighting a high stakes frenzy that last year saw the record broken for the largest cash game pot in televised poker.

The $1.1m behemoth occurred when Dwan, Antonius and Ivey were playing three-handed. Ivey turned a wheel gutshot with his A-2 but was drawing dead to Dwan’s 6-7 for the nut straight. Each player put in over $500,000 to make that pot the largest seen in televised poker and the only seven-figure pot on TV.

This year, those three high stakes legends will be joined by Chris Ferguson, Mike Matusow, Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies and the latest Full Tilt Pro Peter “Apathy” Jetten. He and Tom Dwan are good friends and poker buddies, meaning that the hands between those two players could get a little crazy.

Catch the action on Sky Sports.
