Online poker site Full Tilt Poker has announced that one of the members of its Team Full Tilt, Lee Watkinson, made it all the way to the final table at this week’s World Series Of Poker (WSOP) tournament in Las Vegas.
Watkinson finished strong at this year’s event; making it through 6,358 other players to finish in eighth place overall and take home $585,699. After winning his first bracelet at last year’s WSOP in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Event, Watkinson was eliminated from this year’s competition by eventual champion Jerry Yang.
“Lee won his first bracelet in 2006 and has followed up that performance with a remarkable run the 2007 Main Event,” said fellow Full Tilt Poker professional player Howard Lederer. “With his patience and tremendous skill, I expect Lee to have many more high finishes in the years to come.”
Team Full Tilt consists of some of the world’s finest professional poker players including Chris Ferguson, Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harman, Erick Lindgren, Erik Seidel, Andy Bloch, Phil Gordon, Clonie Gowen, John Juanda, Mike Matusow, Gus Hansen and Allen Cunningham. Full Tilt Poker offers players the opportunity to learn, chat and play poker with a group of 65 poker pros who have, between them, won 31 WSOP bracelets.
These poker players represent Full Tilt Poker at numerous events each year and also spend several hours a week online helping amateur players learn the game through sharing their poker knowledge during real-time chats at virtual tables.
