The game seems to be the only thing which keeps the top poker pros off the golf course nowadays. Pot Limit Omaha has led to the biggest pots ever seen online, with the likes of Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius, Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan all trading pots over $100,000 on a regular basis. Now the Omaha big hitters will have their chance to battle it out heads-up on Full Tilt Poker.
The site itself has been spreading some crazy Omaha games of late, and the $25k buy in PLO Heads-up tournament seems to be the natural continuation of the madness. Expect the likes of Hansen, Ivey and Antonius to be joined by some of the best online pros in this one, with Tom Dwan, Brian Townsend and Phil Galfond all likely to be there or thereabouts at the business end of the tournament.
The Brits are also going to be fancying their chances with Richard ‘Chufty’ Ashby and Ben Grundy both having killed the PLO games lately.
