The bizarrely named, Smack Dog Poker, has announced that they will offer free online poker leagues for their members, giving them the chance to win cash, iTunes electronic gift cards and more this October.
The site will run a total of eight free events across October. Each event will award league points to every player who participates. At the end of the month, the top 10 to finish in the league points standings will be awarded prizes to including Best Buy gift cards or free cash to their poker account.
“By offering free online poker leagues we give our players the chance to ‘try-before-they-buy.’ This gives players the chance to still compete in our online poker leagues as well as win free cash and prizes,” said Smack Dog Poker owner, Corey Bruhn, when asked about the motive for the free league.
“Smack Dog Poker wants to make sure our players enjoy the online poker room they are playing at before they make the commitment of depositing,” continued Bruhn. “Once our players feel comfortable playing at the poker room and decide to make a deposit, they will enjoy joining our lucrative online poker leagues.”
