Franck Pepe heads WPT Grand Prix de Paris into Day 3

Thursday, 8 September 2011

The World Poker Tour Grand Prix de Paris has reduced a big field down to just 61 players with Franck Pepe, last year’s WPT Amneville runner-up in the lead. He is one of only two players to have crossed the 400,000 milestone having bagged up 432k by the end of play. He leads Christophe Lesage in second place on 401,000.

McLean Karr is the one to watch for Day 3 – he starts the day with 323,400 (good for sixth in the chip counts) after busting Jason Mercier and Ludovic Lacay in the same hand, holding 9-8 and making a straight to eliminate both players.

The field will play down to 27 players today which will take us inside the money bubble. The first prize is more than €500,000 as well as the WPT bracelet.
