After a few false starts the management of London's newest venue, The Fox Poker Club, have confirmed that it will officially open on Friday 24th September.
The club, which is based in Shaftesbury Avenue, was originally supposed to open in August but a number of issues with the local licensing authorities caused a delay. Those teething problems have now been resolved and the club's management have confirmed that they will be hosting their first tournaments next week. The specialist poker club, which will be run in association with PKR.com, will get things started with a £25+£5 Bounty No Limit Hold’em Freeze-out at 2pm followed by a £50 No Limit Hold’em Double Chance Freeze-out starting at 7pm. Cash games will also be running throughout the day.Chris North, managing director of Fox Poker Club, said, “I am pleased to finally announce our new opening date and hope to see as many of you as possible on the 24th. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our members for their patience and kind support with our opening and hope you enjoy what we have in store for the upcoming months!”The club will be hosting a special opening party on 8th October with its flagship London Calling tournament series following soon after, from 11th October to 7th November. As we reported yesterday, the club will also be the venue for the London leg of the Paradise Poker Tour in November. For membership information and details of the full tournament schedule visit FoxPokerClub.comKeep up to date with all the news from the poker world by following us on Twitter and Facebook.
