Fox Poker Club to host Genting Poker Series Grand Final

Thursday, 11 October 2012

Genting Poker has announced that the final leg of its 2012 Genting Poker Series will now take place at the Fox Poker Club. The season ending Grand Final had originally been scheduled for the Palm Beach in Mayfair but will return to the Shaftesbury Avenue venue after a successful London leg earlier this year.

The Grand Final series takes place at the recently refurbished card room from 5th to 9th December and has a buy in of £1,500+£150 with the prize pool guaranteed at £200,000.

"Leg 2 at the Fox earlier this year was such an amazing event that it was oversubscribed and we are glad that the Series has continued to make waves across the country before returning to London for this Grand Final,” said Fox Marketing Manager Nick Van de Weyer. “This move is essential to accommodate the mixture of UK and International players who are expected to attend both the Main Event, cash games and side events which include a High Roller event for the first time in the Series."

One player who’ll definitely be there is Hendon Mobster Joe Beevers. "I love the Palm Beach but the Fox is something special to me for many reasons (and it's not just the hot dogs). It is great to hear that the GPS Grand Final will now be held there in December. As London's only dedicated poker club it will be able to cope better with the large number of players that converge on London's West End for this much anticipated tournament."

In addition to the £200k Grand Final, the mini festival will also feature some great side event action including a selection of hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha events as well as a £5,000 High Roller event which is expected to attract some top British talent.
