The Fox Poker Club (FPC) hopes to expand its empire having made further applications to the Gambling Commission for the relevant permissions for another venue in London and elsewhere in the UK.
Whilst the Certificates of Consent are being considered, FPC is actively seeking the necessary planning permissions from local authorities.
The latest proposals take the total number of applications lodged with the Gambling Commission by the FPC to four. One original site has been refused the necessary planning to move forward so FPC management is currently considering all the options available to them.
The Fox Poker Club is owned by a group of poker fans who felt there was a need for a properly regulated Poker Club in London. Chairman Brian Mattingley is a well-known casino industry figure whilst CEO Simon Davey was most recently finance and commercial director of At The Races. Both Mattingley and Davey are shareholders, along with a group of poker enthusiasts some known, others unknown, to the industry.
Whilst waiting for news of developments, eager poker players can hit the FPC website which is set to be re-launched shortly, enabling players to pre-register for membership and providing regular updates on how the applications are proceeding.
