Final Table looms at WPT Cyprus

Friday, 11 September 2009

Day Four at WPT Cyprus was a very short affair with play for the day wrapped up after just two levels. At the end of play the 21 starters had been whittled down to ten with American Rep Porter holding the big stack with almost 1.8m chips, a lead of 800,000 chips over closest rival Jonathan Little.

A couple of big names are looming large though in the form of multiple WSOP bracelet winners Layne Flack and Huck Seed who sit in 3rd and 5th place respectively. Joining them are American Steven Fung, Uri Keidar, Finland’s Janar Kiivramees, Lebanon’s Rony Jazzar, Frenchman Thomas Bichon and 2008 WSOP PL Hold’em World Champion Nenad Medic.

It’s likely to be another short day today with play coming to halt after four eliminations. The final table of six-player will then play to a finish on Saturday where the winner will take home a first prize of $579,165.

The final ten chip stacks are as follows:

Rep Porter - 1,786,000
Jonathan Little - 972,000
Layne Flack - 952,000
Steven Fung - 681,000
Huck Seed - 669,000
Uri Keidar - 583,000
Janar Kiivramees - 509,000
Rony Jazzar - 437,000
Thomas Bichon - 396,000
Nenad Medic - 256,000
