Familiar Start For Eureka Poker Tour

Tuesday, 1 March 2016

The Eureka Poker Tour will kick off its sixth season tomorrow from King's Casino Rozvadov in the Czech Republic with a 22-event tournament series promising €1.5 million ($1.6 million) in total prizes.

The PokerStars-sponsored series will run from March 2 to 8 in the small village near the German border while its five-day and €1,100 ($1,196) buy-in main event gets underway from Friday.

This no-limit hold‘em main event is due to boast a guaranteed €500,000 ($543,628) prize pool alongside a trio of starting flights. While the initial pair of these will see players begin with 25,000 chips and 45-minute blind levels, the final is to be conducted in turbo format and only available to those that have busted previously.

This marks the third time that the Eureka Poker Tour has kicked off a season at King’s Casino Rozvadov and its fourth visit to the venue overall while hopes are high that the coming main event will top the record-breaking 1,893-runner field seen at December’s edition in Prague.

In addition, the Rozvadov stop will offer a two-day €5,300 ($5,761) buy-in super high-roller competition from tomorrow alongside a more modest €2,200 ($2,391) buy-in high-roller event beginning on Sunday.

The Eureka Poker Tour has not forgotten about low-stakes players and its Czech series is additionally set to feature the €330 ($359) buy-in Rozvadov Cup competition from March 2 to 5 offering a guaranteed €100,000 ($108,654) prize pool alongside several smaller events including the €70 ($76) buy-in King’s Local Championship and the €60 ($65) buy-in Eureka Locals no-limit hold‘em deepstack contests.
