The supposed imminent signing of Tom “durrrr” Dwan by Full Tilt Poker, sparked by an ambiguous statement from FTP bigwig Howard Lederer last week, gained new momentum recently.
A Facebook profile for Phil Ivey – yes, we know how this sounds, bear with us – had the following status update:“You heard it first from Team Ivey, Full Tilt Poker will soon announce a big sponsorship signing of the best of the best, young online phenom, Tom “durrrr” Dwan. Durrrr will be the latest addition to Team Full Tilt, details to come. Check Twitter for latest updates.”Now, the immediate reaction from right-thinking people would be that it is a fake Facebook account. However, some purport that this is a true Ivey Facebook account, maintained by Joe Sebok and Amanda Leatherman, who also ran a Twitter account on Ivey’s behalf during the WSOP.Either way, watch this space – durrrr might be red at Full Tilt any time soon.
