Everest Poker has announced the launch of the second annual Everest Poker European Cup (EPEC), a freeroll poker tournament that allows players from all over Europe to compete for a €100,000 prize.

Everest Poker has announced the launch of the second annual Everest Poker European Cup (EPEC), a freeroll poker tournament that allows players from all over Europe to compete for a €100,000 prize.
Last year's tournament brought together 100 players from the continent together to compete for a €50,000 prize while this year's event offers 200 players the chance to win €100,000.
“The success of last year's event blew us away,' said Jonathan May, Everest Poker property manager. 'We wanted to make sure the 2007 event was bigger and better in every way possible. The best way to do this was by doubling both the poker tournament size and the prize money offered.'
This year's EPEC begins on 1 May 2007 and carries on through August, culminating in a live Hold’em finale.
The tourney will comprise a series of live and online qualification tournaments held across the continent. Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Austria and Portugal have been confirmed as the host countries for the live events. Online qualifiers will also occur for each country on Friday evenings at 19:00 GMT.
Full details for registering for the EPEC, along with all restrictions, are available via the Everest Poker website.
