European Poker Tour season eight begins in Tallinn today

Tuesday, 2 August 2011

Season eight of the PokerStars European Poker Tour is upon us in Tallinn, Estonia, with the Main Event beginning today. Aside from some differences in the blind structure (earlier antes and a 250/500 level) this is the same EPT we know and love.

Play is underway as you read this with such famous faces as Arnaud Mattern, Roberto Romanello, Joe Ebanks, Rupert Elder, Praz Bansi and current EPT London champion David Vamplew all in the field as we enter the second blind level.

Come back over the next few days for all the news from Estonia. Last year, Danish pro Kevin Stani bested a field of 420 players before defeating Kostantin Bilyaeur heads-up for the first prize of €400,000.
