European Poker Tour Prague begins today

Monday, 13 December 2010

The PokerStars European Poker Tour rolls on and this time it has arrived back in Prague, the capital of the chilly-this-time-of-year Czech Republic where players are battling -5C temperatures and snowfall to arrive at the Hilton for the €5,000 Main Event.

Last year the event saw 586 entries creating a prize pool of over €2.5m with Jan SkampaJan Skampa taking home a tidy €682,000 (over a million dollars) for his victory over a final table that included PokerStars Pro and EPT mainstay Luca Pagano.

So far Nicolas Levi, Arnaud Mattern, Ludovic Lacay, Sorel Mizzi and defending champion Jan Skampa have been spotted at the tables today but this is the first of two opening flights and promises a host of PokerStars and general poker talent.

Players begin with 30,000 chips and the blinds are 50/100 to start with. Join us throughout the week to see who will be crowned the next EPT champion – or will a poker pro make it a double title?
